Staff Physical Therapists
Jim G. Stevenson, PT
originally a native of Georgetown, MA, relocated permanently to Maine
in the Spring of 1997 with his spouse whose family resides up north.
Jim is a 1993 graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He
attended the Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy for 2 years in
pursuit of refined expert clinical skills in the Nordic Approach to
Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. Jim's final work prior to his successful
completion of the residency program was in Surface Electromyography.
Jim's clinical and patient skills are outstanding. He is a
knowledgeable and compassionate human being who understands how to
apply himself in daily clinical practice. He possesses the interest and
drive to increase his medical knowledge, clinical skills and
effectiveness. MHR is pleased to have on staff a genuine clinician of
Jim's inherent nature.
Hayes Sweeney PT
received his Master's of Science in Physical Therapy from University of
St. Augustine, Florida in 1999. In December of 2000, Hayes began
working at Massabesic Health Resources following his employment at an
Out-Patient Sports & Orthopedic Center. His special interests are
in the fields of Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Settings as well as
Fitness and Wellness throughout the life span. Hayes looks forward to
advancing his manual skills and continuing his professional growth with
Massabesic Health Resources.
In the Front Office
Office Manager, Brenda J. Edgerly
born and raised in our community always had a desire to work in the
medical field. She comes to us with over 20 years of professional
experience working with the public and with prior managerial
responsibility.
Brenda is our in-house expert on the ever-changing world of
insurance billings. The detail of her job is immense. We greatly
appreciate her administrative endeavors and her ongoing desire to
expand her computer knowledge base. A friendly, professional and
efficient front office operations' manager paves the way for effective
healthcare interventions.
Operations Assistant, Sandy Tibbetts our capable and dedicated part-time office personnel since 1994. Sandy works two afternoon-evenings a week in the front office doing a variety of essential administrative tasks. She is consistently available for special projects including handcrafted items that enhance our professional effectiveness. We greatly appreciate her consistent and reliable job performance.
Administrative Assistant, Lori Deshaies provides part-time front office coverage three days a week. We sincerely appreciate the creativity and dedication she brings to the workplace.
Clinical Assistive Staff
Facility Assistant, Cheryl Tardy
assists with the operation and maintenance of the aquatic and land
exercise programs and equipment. Presently, Cheryl is the person to
meet with for an Orientation to the Facility if you wish to use the
therapeutic pool or gym on an independent basis.
Cheryl is a Certified Aquatic Exercise Instructor with the
Arthritis Foundation. Previously, Cheryl taught adults to swim and was
a lifeguard.
In addition to her role as a MHR's Facility Assistant, Cheryl is
licensed Massage Therapist. She graduated from Downeast School of
Massage Therapy in November of 1996. Since her graduation, she has
returned to the Waldoboro campus as an Invited Guest Speaker &
adjunct Faculty Member. She is a member of the National Association of
Massage Therapists and active in a leadership capacity.
MHR is excited to have a multi-talented, responsible, and congenial individual on staff in a part-time capacity.
